Paranoia

Paranoia

I’m paranoid, paralysed by fear, terrified.

I see that suspicious look in their eyes.

Hypnotised by terrors that dwell in my mind.

Hallucinating, debating the voices inside.

I’m paranoid, I seem to have gone and crossed the line,

As psychoses grips me hard and fast between the eyes.

Confusion takes control as my head spins.

Don’t you let them know, don’t you let them in.

I’m paranoid, they’re watching, judging, laughing.

Behind their eyes in their minds, they’re crafting

their ways to bring me down, they’re plotting.

With their whispering mouths, and eyes clocking.

I’m paranoid, paralysed by fear, terrified.

I see that suspicious look in their eyes.

Hypnotised by the terrors that dwell in my mind.

Hallucinating, debating the voices deep inside.

Isolated, In the corner, I’m delusional.

Tormented by thoughts, gets hysterical.

Anxious, I can’t think straight

in this state…

Paranoia.

………. ………. ………. ………. ………. ………. ………. ………. ………. ……….

I wrote this poem around 7 years ago. I was quite obviously feeling very paranoid. I suffer from Paranoid Ideation when I am under extreme stress.
